The superstar outfielder was lifted from Wednesday’s game after tweaking his injured ankle during an at-bat in the eighth inning. Fortunately, neither Servais nor Rodríguez himself seem to think that it’s a major issue. He may sit on Thursday as a precautionary measure, but don’t expect him to land back on the injured list.

Polanco opened the scoring in the ballgame with his RBI single off of Bryan Sammons in the fifth inning, plating Dylan Moore. He also drew a walk in the contest. It has been a rough go at the plate for Polanco this season, slashing a mere .215/.297/.354 with 11 homers, 31 RBI and three stolen bases.

The 24-year-old right-hander scattered just four hits on the evening — all of them singles — and didn’t allow a base on balls. He needed just 85 pitches (61 strikes) to cruise through seven innings. He exited with a 2-0 lead and in line for a victory, but the Mariners’ bullpen couldn’t hang on for him. Woo generated 12 swings and misses in the contest — eight of those on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 34 percent. He’ll carry a pristine 2.06 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a 56/7 K/BB ratio (74 1/3 innings) into Monday’s skirmish against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old outfielder stepped back at an inside pitch during his at-bat in the eighth inning and tweaked his ankle. After a visit from the training staff he remained in the game — and chipped in an RBI single — but after he got to first base he was lifted for a pinch-runner. It could just be the M’s taking every possible precaution, but fantasy managers should be sure to follow his status closely.

Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh have also slid down one spot each after batting second and third recently Rodríguez went 1-for-8 with five strikeouts while DHing and hitting cleanup in his first two games back from an ankle sprain. He says the ankle isn’t causing him problems at the plate, but it’s unclear if he’s truly ready to help the Mariners right now.

A late scoring change following the contest by Detroit’s official scorer changed a fourth-inning single to an error on shortstop Leo Rivas, which resulted in five of the runs that inning becoming unearned, making it less of a full-blown disaster for Kirby’s fantasy managers. However, it still wasn’t pretty. In all, four of the 13 hits came off the bat at less than 80 mph, and the grand slam he gave up to Jake Rogers in the fourth would have left only eight ballparks, according to Statcast. But even if Kirby had gotten a few more breaks, this still would have been bad. It just wouldn’t have resulted in him giving up as many runs as he did in his previous six starts combined (and one more run than his total in the seven starts previous to those six starts). He narrowly avoided becoming the first pitcher this year to give up 11 earned runs (four others had given up 11 runs, but all with some amount unearned), and the first Mariners pitcher to do so since Ryan Rowland-Smith in 2010. He’ll aim to rebound later this week against the Pirates.

Raleigh will take a seat even after hitting two homers and driving in five runs against the Mets on Sunday. Mitch Garver has become George Kirby’s personal catcher so he’ll be behind the plate, and Justin Turner will be the designated hitter while Big Dumper rests.

What a ridiculous turnaround for Robles, who was let go by the Nationals after hitting .120 in 14 games to begin the season. He’s come in at .303/.372/.450 in 42 games for the Mariners. The 27-year-old could have bet on a strong finish leading to a superior deal in free agency this winter, but given his history of injuries and inconsistency, it’s easy to see why the guarantee was attractive.

Raleigh tagged Mets’ starter Luis Severino for his 415-foot (108.3-mph EV) two-run blast in the fifth inning that extended the M’s lead to 4-0. He then put the game way out of reach with a 407-foot (106.0-mph EV) three-run shot off of Adam Ottavino in the sixth that made it 10-1. Both of his homers came on the first pitch of their respective at-bats. The 27-year-old backstop also singled and drew a walk in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4. He’s slashing .217/.310/.448 with an impressive 26 homers and 76 RBI on the season.

Polanco got the party started for the Mariners with a 416-foot solo shot off of Luis Severino in the second inning. He then led off the sixth inning with a double and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Luis Rivas. With his two-hit attack, the 31-year-old second baseman is now hitting .211/.292/.352 to go with 11 homers and 30 RBI on the year.
